Saving history is an important task. Not only should we preserve the good, but the bad. And saving historical sights is important also. The “Meadow Gold” sign stood for years at 11th and Lewis.
Developers wanting to change that sign required the dismantling of the sign. But preservationists were able to move the sign, have it restored and now it is shinning bright at its new location on Route 66 (west of its original location). I would point out its exact location, but the idea is for you to travel Route 66 and discover the many sights along the way.
